For decades, retail stores, cafes, and commercial venues have relied on static playlists, looping tracks, and manual updates to shape in-store ambience. However, Tringbox, a Mumbai-based AI music startup, is challenging this outdated model by rethinking how sound functions inside physical spaces.

Founder Amandeep Singh Chawla is pushing a different vision. He treats music as a core layer of enterprise infrastructure rather than passive background entertainment. In his view, intelligent systems should adapt sound in real time to actively shape customer experience inside physical environments, aligning with the broader momentum of the Startup India ecosystem, where innovation-led ventures are redefining how technology integrates with everyday industries.

Stepping into this gap, Tringbox has raised approximately $600,000 in its first institutional seed funding round. The funding positions the company to replace static audio systems with real-time, context-aware sonic environments powered by AI.


Strategic Backing and Early-Stage Momentum

Nikhil Gandhi led the seed round through his investment firm GIPL (Gandhi Investments). The round also attracted institutional and angel investors, including the MGB Family Office and Narendra Singh Yadav, Chief Business Officer at Paytm. Additional backing came from angel investors associated with One Love Technologies Private Limited, the parent company of Tringbox, highlighting growing investor confidence in Indian startups building deep-tech solutions.

Before this funding round, Tringbox operated in stealth mode for its first year. During this period, the team built its core platform, ran pilot deployments, and refined its technology through real-world feedback, a typical journey for startups moving from prototype to product-market fit.

Now, with experienced investors from ecosystems linked to Amazon MX Player, TikTok, and Paytm, the company aims to accelerate expansion across India’s retail and hospitality sectors—an important growth area for emerging startups focused on AI-driven consumer experiences and in-store innovation.

From Background Music to Enterprise Infrastructure

Under founder Amandeep Singh Chawla, Tringbox is redefining how businesses use music. Instead of treating it as decoration, the company positions audio as a responsive system embedded into enterprise infrastructure.

At the core of the platform sits the InStore AI Music system, which replaces static playlists with adaptive audio intelligence. The system uses a proprietary Hybrid Neuro-Symbolic Music Engine that adjusts music in real time based on environmental signals.

It responds to factors such as venue type, weather conditions, temperature, humidity, time of day, weekday patterns, and live footfall density. As conditions change, the system updates the audio experience automatically.

For example, gyms automatically shift toward high-energy tracks during peak morning hours. In contrast, wellness clinics and premium salons transition into softer ambient soundscapes designed to support relaxation and comfort.

Signal-Level Intelligence Powered by Neuroscience

Chief Technology Officer Badal Desai leads Tringbox’s engineering and AI development. With more than a decade of experience in Canada working on AI and audio systems, he has shaped the company’s signal-level intelligence framework.

Unlike traditional recommendation systems that depend on genres or popularity tags, Tringbox analyzes raw audio signals in real time. The system processes waveforms directly and extracts musical features such as:

  • Tempo and BPM to match activity levels
  • Spectral balance for clear sound in shared environments
  • Loudness dynamics for stable volume control
  • Harmonic stability for smooth emotional transitions

By combining these inputs, the system creates adaptive soundscapes that respond to human behavior and environmental context.

The platform also draws from neuroscience, affective computing, and auditory perception research. It explores how sound influences mood, attention, and customer engagement in physical environments.

To support compliance and reduce licensing risks, Tringbox uses high-quality, non-commercial, royalty-free audio designed specifically for environmental modulation.


Centralized Control for Enterprise-Scale Operations

Large enterprises often struggle to maintain consistent audio experiences across multiple locations. Staff frequently use personal playlists, which creates inconsistent branding across outlets.

Tringbox solves this problem by introducing a centralized music intelligence layer for enterprises. Through a unified dashboard, corporate teams monitor and manage audio across all locations in real time.

If a system fails or music stops at any venue, the platform triggers automated alerts. This reduces manual oversight, improves operational efficiency, and ensures consistent brand identity across all outlets.

Through its Partner App, the platform integrates with DJs, karaoke hosts, and live performers. Guests can scan QR codes at venues to browse music catalogs and request songs directly from their smartphones.

To increase engagement, Tringbox introduces a “skip-the-queue” feature. Users can pay a premium to prioritize their song requests in the live playlist.

This model creates a multi-sided value system. Guests gain a more interactive experience, DJs receive additional tipping opportunities, and venues unlock new revenue streams while maintaining full control over their audio environment.


A Large and Growing Market Opportunity

India hosts millions of physical commercial establishments, creating a significant opportunity for intelligent audio systems. Tringbox identifies over one million premium venues—including luxury hotels, clinics, and fitness studios—as its immediate target market.

Early pilot deployments across 30 premium venues already show promising results. These include increased customer engagement, longer dwell times, and stronger emotional recall among visitors.

With fresh funding, proprietary AI infrastructure, and strong strategic backing, Tringbox now aims to scale its platform beyond India. Over time, the company plans to position itself as the default operating system for intelligent commercial sound environments worldwide
